Mentorship is very important to our lives as landscape architects. We are grateful to the influential figures in the industry who have inspired our generation to always be passionate in striving to create environments that support and protect the earth and at the same time keep the needs of the end users at the heart of every design. For us, legendary Filipino landscape architect and national artist Ildefonso Paez Santos, Jr. was truly a master and genius of his craft. His amazing works on parks, plazas, and gardens promote social interaction in public spaces and remind us that when we design, we have to consider that for every Filipino, the sense of belongingness, fun bonding and loving interaction with others is paramount.
