In the land between Tambac Bay and the West Philippine sea in Northern Luzon rests the Municipality of Bani, a hidden gem waiting to be revealed to the rest of the country and the world. During the 1960’s and 1970’s this sleepy town was dubbed as the “Wild, Wild, West” because of its location as the westernmost town in the province of Pangasinan. Its rugged, remote and frontier-like atmosphere contributed to this nickname which later evolved to “The Golden West” suggesting its potential and value despite its rough and raw characteristics.
The municipality derives its name from the Bani tree (Milletia pinnata), a beautiful medium sized tree known for its broad crown, fragrant flowers, seed oil and medicinal uses. Fast-growing and leguminous, this native tree is well-suited to heat and sunlight, perfect as a natural buffer against strong winds in coastal areas.
Bani is guided by the leadership of Mayor Facundo “Boying” Palafox Jr. whose vision is to see the Golden West deliver on its promise of prosperity for its citizens. From his dreams and aspirations for this emerging city the new Bani Public Market rises as a symbol of a municipality’s determination to make this dream a reality.

Construction is well on the way for the Bani Public Market in the province of Pangasinan, Philippines. We look forward to the project’s completion as it will create limitless opportunities for the people for this second class municipality in northern Philippines.
Spearheaded by Mayor Facundo “Boying” Palafox Jr., the vision is to build a commercial hub that will attract investors, create jobs and jumpstart tourism. Our dream is to create a lifestyle center for the people that will bring the community together while breathing new life to the economy of Bani.
Once constructed the Bani Public Market will change the landscape in this rising municipality. The transformation we hope to catalyze will elevate the lives of the citizens of Bani through a thriving local economy. On a deeper level we pray that the community will develop a pride of place that would ensure the development of a livable city for generations to enjoy.

The foundations have been laid and the structural columns are steadily rising on the Bani Public Market site. Located along the main highway, this commercial development is envisioned to breathe new life to the Municipality of Bani.

The site is located on a wide open field strategically located along the national highway. This ensures high visibility for the market and makes it feasible for commercial spaces, services and transport access. Location is key for this type of development and Bani is gifted with a site that meets the criteria for a good investment.

A creek runs through the property of the market site. This is a major concern as the site is prone to flooding. Site sensitive interventions were studied and taken into consideration to make sure that the development will be used to its maximum potential while keeping in harmony with the environment.
