Last October 24 to 25, 2025, the Philippine Association of Landscape Architects (PALA), held one of its major events for this season. This year’s national convention focused on the future and impact of landscape architecture in today’s modern life.
Once made up of a handful of individuals whose passion is creating landscapes for people, the organization has grown significantly over the years. Today the community of landscape architects in the Philippines is 700+ strong and is now preparing for the next environments shaped by world class Filipino professionals.
The conference took on relevant topics such as disaster resiliency, cultural landscapes, our Filipino heritage and the impact of landscape architecture in the planning and design of livable cities and communities. Local and international speakers gave insight on relevant issues that have a tremendous impact on society and on the environment. Truly the NExT Landscape opened hearts and minds to a greener and better future.
